It is often said that psychological training is the last step in the ladder of success. This training helps an athlete to increase his or her mental game by teaching strategies to deal with pressure. It also provides knowledge of how to stay focused and dedicated to achieving maximum efficiency. Most psychological training is based on old age-old techniques like visualization and self-talk. However, new methods of improving performance using neuro-linguistic programming and brainwave technology have created new strategies to help improve mental performance.
